This book was excellent! Ginny and Derek are both very feisty and charming characters. I loved their back and forth bickering, which often made me break out into a deep belly kind of laughter. Their characters complimented one another, more so than the combination of Ginny and Phillip. The wild antic's that Derek displayed while trying to catch Ginny's attention were hilarious! I could so clearly see picture those scenes in my head, and even now they seem to put a smile on my face, just by thinking about them.I thought her mother, Miranda was a bit of a cold, callus, nut job. The reason she's been married so many times could be because she doesn't know the real meaning of love, unless it comes with a price tag.
Phillip was okay in the very begininng, even if he was quite boring. But when he started to get into cahoots with his future MIL, he turned me off instantly. And when he turned Ginny away in her time of need, I lost all respect for him.
I was so glad that the author included a bonus of a short epilogue at the end of this story. I thought that was really a nice touch, and it gives the readers a better insight as to what happens down the road a bit.

This Edition is as advertised - a sweet and quirky romance. I loved the main characters. It kept my interest. I made it a quick read!
I really enjoyed this shorter story. Well written! A really fun story line. Yes predictable in a good way. Characters well done.
This is a sweet, quirky, formula story that neatly wraps up all the ends. No evil plot devices--save a narcissistic mother, but the author did resort to a rich Prince Charming. It's still complicated enough for an entertaining read. This was my third Farr book, and I'd purchase more for my .
Fun story and a great read. She makes you like the characters and want to delve into their lives.
Novella-sized entertainment. These Beverly Farr books are perfect for a little "pick-me-up" when I don't feel like reading or investing time a big long book. Clean, but still has romantic tension. It gets 5 stars for delivering exactly what I wanted!
I finally read this book! I loved seeing the twists and turn the author took with this book. Ginny is about to get married to a man who clearly does not care for her as he should. In many ways, Ginny is playing it safe with her heart after Derek broke her heart nine years ago. Ginny's mother is no help either since she cares many about money and looks. Derek is fixing up a house and Ginny is going to help him in return for not saying anything about their wedding nine years ago. Derek and Ginny work through their differences to have a future together.
